Powerless now but not forever

 The partisan politics and its politicians are sinking America as I write this very commentary!

America today is a country on the brink of collapse from within not externally which in truth also impacts the velocity of our internal implosion 

We have the politics of chaos and insurgency themes rampant in the GOP

We have the politics of reactionary themes rampant in the DEMS

Citizens today in America simply don’t matter in any calculation or equation that has currency or value to the politicians and the politics of partisanship politics now in America 

So here am I not wanting to feel powerless but nonetheless I am right now 

This reality is going to change…

I adore Rain as it drops  out of the vast canvass of the sky. I pray my essence will become one of nature’s rains that warms the souls of those in need of comfort 

Know this Rain your wet flakes of moisture cures the sting of the heat on my face and takes away the dryness of a sun stained day

One of the characteristics of being a human being is our capacity and ability to navigate around and beyond a variety of obstacles and situations even when the situation looks bleak 

Those of us who have a long held fractured relationship with a family member should Find a Way 

Corporations that have ignored the needs of their union employees should Find a Way

Nations that have disputes with other nations should Find a Way

Husbands and Wives should Find a Way

Neighbors at odds with other Neighbors should Find a Way 

Individuals with problems with in themselves

should Find a Way

 I admire my ancestors and all of those unknowns who paved the way forward for others as We confronted, encountered and experienced the worst of America 

The inhumanity and indignities suffered by minorities and Women and even millions of White Americans is truly staggering 

Understanding this makes me value those today living in our midst and in our communities and in our households. It  requires me now to acknowledgement them  now!

I don’t ever want to accept any moment of inhumanity. Every time I attend a funeral I am always cognizant that the living matter now 

Right here and Right now the icons and legends of tomorrow are engaging in legendary events , deeds and activities that make life today bearable, tolerable and wonderful.

All of us have a story and I want to not only listen to every story I can but I want to acknowledge those experiencing their moments that also benefit me.

The End of College Sports in America

College Sports in the last century were never pure amateur sports there was always money and alumni giving behind the stadiums and sports venues on college campuses 

Of late the presence of $$$$ is truly beyond the pale especially in College Football . The ordeal that these students athletes have to endure for entertainment on Saturday is outrageous 

The interests of student athletes are not now nor were never a consideration, NIH pennies paid to students athletes don’t compare to billions of dollars being exchanged by universities and media platforms for football on Saturday in America 

I doubt if any college president or board of trustees met with the parents and families of these student athletes to tell them all of their college loans, tuition, room and board would be paid with these Billions of $$$ 

Billions in $$$$ are making entire college football regions of the nation become almost extinct with schools joining existing college leagues across the country 

West coast teams are abandoning historical rivals to chase down $$$. The academic, health and the interests of families of the student athletes especially of football students athletes means nothing to this $$$ brokers .

Get the $$$$$  GD the student athletes !!!!

Y’all Turn Now

 For Consideration:

Black Americans without question have been our country’s greatest activists for humanity and all of its components ( Civil Rights, Women Rights, Justice, Equality just too name a few)

Of course this legacy comes with a price tag as well as receipts. There has been pain, suffering, every indignity imaginable including a death toll that has footprints on another continent 

Those on the end of this legacy has been very minority , gender , nationality, ethnicity, gender and now the transgenders on the planet 

I opine that now is the moment for Black America to move away from the Center into another space. Black America deserves to focus on Black America 

The BLM Movement is not only an extension of centuries of Black Activism in America but an example that triggers for Black America a focus on Black America in every aspect and manner 

America is long overdue for Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans and now Transgender Americans to get into the Center

Memories

Today I finally purged my garage of my 3 decades of my activism from hundreds of publish articles and commentaries to hate letters and proposals, public speaking , radio interviews  including even and my own award winning cable TV show.

I was crazy as a Fuck sometimes but always on the money of course 🙂. I used FIOA requests often including seeking my FBI file, those fuckers hated me . 

Both the MSP and FBI had me on their oversight lists, every time the governor or politician came to the ‘D’they profiled me.

Once I was engaged in a protest at the JCC and a Black FBI whispered in my ear he wanted to kick my Black Ass, I told him  my Black ass was not going to get him promoted but fired!!

I wrote lots of references and support letters to lawyers and even enforcement agencies, when they were  lawful ! I penned letters to schools with reading lists. I wrote letters to HR departments and even pastors requesting them to give back some of the Sunday collections.  I loved it when folks got jobs and students , Those I mentored some even became scholars.

I discovered along the path and in and out of rabbit holes everything matters in the one ‘s life , there no accidents. We are here for each other. 

My motto was during my prime was a simple one … I was ‘Out  there for Here’

I was crying today but smiling my ass off when I was shredding all of this stuff
