Betrayal at the Gate

The objective of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness has been an effort by many people especially Black Americans and minorities for centuries in America .

Frequently in this endeavor there are many adversaries and even collaborators that were once allies in these pursuits but are now manipulated by those who are the enemies and obstructists to these pursuits  .

Recently UM fired the Executive Director of Office of Academic and Multicultural Initiatives  which is under scrutiny by many across the spectrum of students, administrators and professors at UM.

Academic Freedom is under assault in our academic institutions because of criticism by many of Israel’s inhumane war of vengeance and revenge against innocent Palestinians in GAZA.

UM has now become one of those reluctant allies with many of its policies of late towards Academic Freedom with regards to the War in Gaza by Israel. It is painful to observe and witness UM’s retreat in these pursuits.

UM no longer requires Diversity statements for promotions and tenure, unfortunately UM even now it has adopted a neutrality posture in providing declarations and statements about critical issues and challenges that confronts students and citizens in Michigan and across its spectrum.

Part of this strategy to disengage includes hiring people of color to orchestrate these regressive policies and practices which of course is also a strategic  deceitful maneuver and to terminate administrators that champion Academic Freedom and the like.

Once again in America so many are in peril because of the hue of their skin, gender and politics to observe this posture at UM is outrageous .

The Trouble With Friends

 The 2nd Trump Regime is going to require extremely strategic posturing for many Americans especially Americans that are not Trump supporters and are vulnerable to his regressive policies 

It begins with an evaluation of our allies and alliances for me as a Black American this is extremely critical and difficult to do but required of me 

For example consider this: UM just fired its Black DEI Administrator because of her alleged comments which were used against her by a Jewish Organization in Michigan 

When our historical allies became our contemporary adversaries this becomes a major problem especially in a 2nd Trump Regime in the White House 

Black and Jewish Americans in the Trump Era II

I have been a frequent advocate of candid discourse and dialogue between Jews and Black Americans in America for decades, long before the inhumane war in Gaza by the Netanyahu government in Israel.

During the Civil Rights Era of America where it was critical and incumbent on both Black and Jewish our collective activism generated historic gains and progress for both our communities.

Of course as a result of my activism and support for a ceasefire in Gaza many of my associates, friends and others in the Jewish diaspora here in America have attacked me with hate, racism and contempt solely because of my criticism of the war in Gaza.

I have been subjected to hateful rhetoric including being a carrier of antisemitism in Black America, this is not the Jewish America tradition I grew up with in America.

Black Americans of course have always encountered such feedback for centuries in America because of our  rejection and activism against White Supremacy in America.

In America the overwhelming majority of Jews self identify as White and given this reality it is not a surprise to be unfortunately targeted and on the end of racist attacks of not  all but many in Jewish venues in America

The racist and bigoted claims that Antisemitism is a staple and supported overwhelmingly in Black America is a ‘LIE ‘and as I have counseled Black Americans everywhere in America to condemn and reject this hate wherever it surfaces in America including media platforms and  publications and even in some Jewish synagogues in America.

There is no parallel historical reality that can compare the hate and violence that Black Americans have encountered and sustained in America to the Jewish experiences of hate and violence in America, this is not only a historical fact but a truth that many Jews refuse to acknowledge.

Our communities cannot evolve and co-exist without candid and honest and integrity driven respect for each other.

As we enter another Trump Era of America both communities are in peril and it is critical that we embrace the narrative of ‘United We Stand’ especially for Black Americans who obviously don’t identify as ‘White’ in a Trump Era.

Immunity to Kill

 The acquittal of a vigilante killing an unarmed mentally ill homeless person in NYC is alarming and disturbing but also a reflection of a theme in America that some people aren’t as worthy as others in our legal system 

 Our legal system is giving license to vigilantes to engage in violence towards people in America that views the homeless, mentally ill and poor people as not being worthy of civil rights in our country 

 Who’s next on the list of ‘vulnerables’ in our country that are not provided equal protection under the ‘rule of law ‘ in America??

Justice?

 Frequently there is an assumption that a trial verdict is a demonstrable example of Justice which of course is a ludicrous assumption and narrative 

 The administration of a process in seeking Justice is not a tangible measure or outcome of Justice. Justice is an abstract construct that seeks fairness and impartiality for those seeking an outcome that is not subjected to prejudice, politics, discrimination and prejudice.

 Vigilantes don’t engage in Justice in fact just the opposite Vengeance, Revenge, Settling Scores are not examples of Justice anywhere in the world.

 When civilization and society become convinced that Vigilantes have a purpose and place in a civilization this is when there is no ‘rule of law’ and acts of violence perpetrated by Vigilantes must never be normalized, excused nor Justified 

Justification is not an act of Justice

 Evil comes in many manifestations…. ‘Just Us’ has always been the narrative of far too many Americans in our country

So I will now explore the outer fringes of conversation and dialogue not just to appease my inner hunger and thirst but to evolve and grow the capacity to appreciate and learn from difficult themes and paths to knowledge 

I will cultivate inconvenient narratives and thoughts that I abandoned before. I will weight into my vision and consider themes not seen before by me. I will value and give value to these possibilities. 

I will weather the wrath of the gentile and the elite who view my new path as betrayal rather than discovery . The rules of civil engagement will not frame my exploration, nor detour it. My course of navigation is beyond the footprints of beaten down trails.

I venture not to exploit and create unease and tension. My intrusions into silence and orthodox are forward moves designed to never obstruct but to open up possibilities and create something a new.

The awkward moments which fuel my explorations they are markers of and directions sought to uncover not to dismiss and avoid.

Fractured Allies

Regarding minorities that voted for Trump there must be a  mature and reasoned analysis not one that is emotional and vindictive posturing 

Minorities in America with regards to politics are not monolithic nor were minorities the basis for Trump’s victory 

We have to continue to acknowledge that Facts matter especially in a nation that is extremely polarised and will even be more so during the Trump Era II in our nation 

The strategy with regards to partisan politics is recruit non voters and influence more White voters to not support Trump

Going forward our posture should be how to respond/react/ survive/ prosper in an America where Trump is the POTUS

I opine there are two governance narratives that impact us :

1. Federal Government 

2. State Government 

I opine that our respective state government/legislatures put our interests in peril more than the Feds.

I live in a Blue state ( MD) where we have a Black governor, Black senator and a majority Dems legislature

Thoughts on Election of Trump

So many people aka majority White people want to deflect the outcome of Trumps’s victory by blaming minorities when in fact the sole reason Trump won the election was because of White Americans those that voted for Trump and those that didn’t vote at all.

America is a majority White nation and this FACT continues to be the basis for public policy as well as foreign policy. There was over 140 million votes casted and Black votes were less than 20 million votes casted in this election.

The GOP has never nominated a Minority or a Woman to be President of the United States in our history, given this return of Trump to the White House nothing has changed with the politics of the GOP in America.

America is a majority White nation and this FACT continues to be the basis for public policy as well as foreign policy . White Americans  wanted Trump to be POTUS and that is exactly what they got

All day I have tried to remove reality from the world but I can’t. I know reality bites and that is real but so is the reality that something is amiss in my country where a White Man of Trump’s character is the POTUS.

I can’t ignore his wealth, privilege and endless opportunities as a White man to not overcome his mistakes but to never be accountable nor punished for his mistakes.Failure for White men like Trump never alters the trajectory of their life . They are immune from their failures solely because of not what they do wrong but because of who they are 

This is not an America that wants people that looks like me or my sisters, friends and associates.This America which elected Trump as our President reminded me of this reality once again 

America is a majority White nation and this FACT continues to be the basis for public policy as well as foreign policy . White Americans  wanted Trump to be POTUS and that is exactly what they got

Black Americans have survived living in America for centuries under violence and hate that is beyond humanity and even the darkest evil . We are built for it and We will survive and even prosper because that is who we have been for centuries in America.

The Republican view of Black Men in America

Yet again in America there is a Republican and Conservative rambling about Black Men a from a collective of White Republicans and Conservatives that has always been ignorant of and clueless about Black Men in America 

What is truly shameful is why now is White conservatives and republicans posing questions about Black Men in America? 

Apparently in the eyes of White Republicans and Conservatives,  Black Men only matter when We provide a means of support for White Americans and their agendas other wise we are useless .

Once again the folly of polls as educational and informed intelligence is driving the latest iteration of what Republicans and Conservatives believe about Black Men.

Black Men in the annals of White America has always been a narrative of negativity from anxiety about the fidelity of White women to fears about the criminal nature of Black Men in America to name just a few.

Rarely is there any narrative in both Republican and Conservative spaces that values the intellect, character and patriotism of Black Men instead, Black Men are a commodity to be exploited, leveraged.

Usually the Black Men who are assigned value in Republican and Conservative circles are those Black men who echo and parrot Conservative dogma with concurrent themes of gratitude and appreciation of being affirmed by this motley lot of White Republicans and Conservatives.

Of course this recognition and acceptance comes with a price of admission which includes being used as a tool to manipulate, buttress and shield Republicans and Conservatives from criticism from Black Americans like me and others that don’t purchase the false faces of conditional recognition and partnership offered by Republicans and Conservatives.

Of course this tiresome historical script of White Republicans and Conservatives has now come to an abrupt end with the historic election of Harris as the POTUS.

I am so disappointed and embarrassed by Lloyd Austin a Black American born in racist Alabama and now Secretary of Defense in our nation 

To listen to him make excuses for the inhumane war in GAZA by Israel with our military assistance is outrageous and shames me as a Black American 

Lloyd Austin is a 71 year old Black Man who has lived his entire adult life aware of the deep racist pathologies in America which he no doubt had encountered as well as his family and ancestors 

To observe him deliberately marginalised and discount the humanity of innocent Palestinians in Gaza is a God Damn shame given who he is and his history as a Black Man in America

Living in an All American Neighborhood

Living in an all White neighborhood is fascinating on so many levels , when I walk the neighborhood I hear the voices of the indigenous and my ancestors , I am not alone 

Living in an all White neighborhood the birds , insects and squirrels remind me  I am not alone 

Living in an all White neighborhood those I meet and greet understand something has changed and that includes me

Living in an all White neighborhood the children I encounter smiles are affirmation they don’t care what I look like

When Israel declared its war in Gaza after the carnage of October 7th against innocent Israelis on October 8th it declared war innocent Palestinian civilians the majority of whom are Women and Children 

Where the government of Israel declared no Food, Medicine and Fuel supplies into Gaza

It is Israel that is engaging in a war of vengeance , revenge and collective and disproportionate punishment 

It is obvious to all that the life of a Palestinian is not equivalent to the life of an Israeli 

This inhumane calculation will never make 1400 dead Israelis equal to 40,000+ dead Palestinians

The Death of Conservatism

Conservatism was once a principled and pragmatic ideology and way of life for many Americans 

Unfortunately it became embraced by immoral and unprincipled leaders like the founder of NR a devotee of segregation and bigotry as an anchor of Conservative ideology trajectories 

For our nation this was truly a wrong turn and in essence created in part the foundation for the takeover of principled Conservative ideology by AWM and regressive policies and myopic ideas 

Reagan embraced this twisted evolution so much he opened his presidency in Philadelphia, MS , this lead to regressive types like Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh and others to chart the trajectory of a once principled ideology of Conservatives 

Now here America is in a new epoch being strangled and held hostage by twisted politicians and ideologies of personality like Trump and other regressive Conservatives who have destroyed the Republican Party in their path to power and the end of democracy in America 

Harris not only for POTUS but the end of the devolution of Conservatism in America

What I speak of today is known across the globe it is a profound part of being human.

For me in my life and yours as well it is a human relationship that continues to weathered every storm of emotions both positive and negative.This human experience I am speaking of is priceless and part of the essence of living and human relationships 

This vessel I speak of has been counsel to the poor and wealthy , it is never shipwrecked nor docked in the harbor 

This vessel is sturdy strong and sensitive to the winds and elements of life and soaked in the essence of love and devotion 

The vessel I am proud to speak us has never abandoned me nor disappointed me

The vessel I speak of today is that of Friendship .

 I am still hungry and thirsty for all of the moments and experiences of life, in fact at my ripe age of 70 , my pursuits are not only more diverse and even eccentric to some , they are sourced in a clock that has an end

In the meantime, I don’t intend on being cautious and reserved, my siren is louder, my velocity is accelerated and my pace is not only melodic but saturated and immersed in securing the very essence of whatever I am drawn too.

I have expanded my exploration of life by removing all boundaries and firewalls, I now pay attention to paraplegic issues as well as voices beyond the fringes of the ordinary and bohemia 

I am charting personal road maps into terrains that don’t require mystery and unorthodoxy but unfold into my interpretations of the experience 

So here it is in ‘real talk’ …When U and I meet or interact expect an iconic moment with me, absorb me , pour my words all over your body, listen and speak back at me , don’t hesitate nor spare me anything, I am still hungry and thirsty for all of the moments and experiences of life

Israel’s role in our politics especially the election of the POTUS is unacceptable and deserves condemnation .The inability of both candidates to condemn Israel’s war of vengeance and revenge against innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza is cowardly and unacceptable 

Israel’s lobbyists in elections where Black incumbents are targeted because of their criticism of Israel resulted in their failure to be re-elected . Harvard’s historic Black President was forced to resign because she refused to genuflect to efforts to silence dissent and suspend Academic Freedom at Harvard

The Beginning of A New ERA

Before I left the country to visit my family in the UK( new grandson) I was asked to pen a series of commentaries about our elections in November in particular the election of the next POTUS

I authored a number of commentaries about Biden and I opined he should remove himself as a candidate and endorse Kamala Harris as the next POTUS

I articulated a narrative that was not only comprehensive but informative and instructive including the obvious reasons why the election of Harris as POTUS  means the end of the Trump Era in America 

This is my last commentary on this topic and I believe the Harris will win in a landslide and the Trump Era will be come to an end. 

The world is watching and waiting and for the USA to evolve beyond our partisan politics 

A Global Transformation is in the air and I welcome my role in such a reality .

-In the history of America the contempt for Women  has been brutal and disgusting even more so for Non-White Women

Today it is active in fermenting violence and distrust in our communities as the nation awaits the Floyd verdict. The press continues to allege White Americans are on edge and has all but scripted a violence driven reaction by Black Americans if the verdict is one of Not Guilty …..

The press is not worthy of its iconic status and stature in our US Constitution . The press of late in America is driven not by being guardians of freedom and related speech but by scripted propaganda, disinformation and fiction over facts…

Our elections

Whenever I challenge the conventional notion in Black America that the defeat of Trump is the only option available to Black Americans I get heavy and heated pushback. I have opined in numerous venues that can be achieved without Biden . 

White  Americans like Trump number in the millions in America knowing this reality alters many aspects of being Black in America the least of which is Trump as POTUS.

The most destructive interactions our communities encounter are not from Whites like Trump, they are from Black folks , therefore what is more significant is not the politics of a President in America.

Biden nor Trump have /will not changed the dynamics between Black folks at all in our interactions. I opine that should be our most critical and crucial focus going forward in America, not this  4 year anniversary of the useless historical equation which has Black folks always selecting the lesser of evils especially when evil still remains in our communities. 

I am certainly not voting for Trump and I look forward to voting for Harris or other Democratic candidates but my real time focus is certainly not on the who the next POTUS  but the elective choices in our communities.

Our military ‘s history on segregation has been one of the truly disturbing chapters in our nation’s history 

Our military’s desegregation has been one of the of the truly transformative and historic achievements in our nation’s history.

I am so proud of our military and their commitment to DEI . Our military’s has been a historical role model with regards to race relations in America, this posture of our Pentagon and DEI continues this tradition in our military and America is well served therein

Politics

 We have become a society where politics can make an unfit person become the POTUS

 We have become a society where politics ignores the reality of aging 

 We have become a society where politics are more important than our humanity

 We have become a society where the essence of life has become political 

LAWS MATTER

 The United States Supreme Court declared that the President of America does not have Blanket Immunity from unofficial acts 

The United States Supreme Court also ruled that not every official act of the President of the United States also provides the President with immunity 

Nobody in America is above the Law including the President of the United States  so ruled the Supreme Court of the United States of America

I will cultivate inconvenient narratives and thoughts that I abandoned before. I will weight into my vision and consider themes not seen before by me. I will value and give value to these possibilities. 

I will weather the wrath of the gentile and the elite who view my new path as betrayal rather than discovery . The rules of civil engagement will not frame my exploration, nor detour it. My course of navigation is beyond the footprints of beaten down trails.

I venture not to exploit and create unease and tension. My intrusions into silence and orthodox are forward moves designed to never obstruct but to open up possibilities and create something a new.

 Once again the American public is assaulted by the campaigns of politicians from obscure fringe political parties to the usual suspects Dems /GOP. The media platforms are hauling in loads of campaign dollars from not only the political parties but endless ‘drive by ‘ special interests committees and the like.

 Of course most voters won’t be influenced nor impacted to change their respective views or candidates they will vote for, this is part of pomp and circumstance of election time in America 

Politicians will debate now without audiences but with scripts , pundits and media talking heads won’t STFU and mother’s with babies that want attention will pitch their babies to get it.

Election’s politics in America where people are thrown to the political landscapers to get cut and soak in political manure that will  only leave a stench in your nose and clothes for too long

 Our educational institutions exist for a variety of reasons including the development of knowledge of all those who attend them . Recently many prominent University are no longer issuing statements about critical issues in America that impact not only students by society 

 The list of functions of our educational institutions provides to our nation encompasses cultural and social context and individual growth . Our educational institutions also serve as foundation to inform, influence and promote the welfare of society on and off their respective campuses 

 Educational institutions that abandon their social duty to inform and advise our students/society on issues that enhance as well as imperil our society have failed both the students and our nation 

 America is better served when the leaders of our universities and colleges insert their learned opinions and valued experiences

NAACP Cowardly Retreat

Yet again the present  day cowardice of the current leadership of NAACP reminds Black Americans that it must always temper their criticism of Israel and the bigotry of American Jews towards Black Americans.

This initial press release by the NAACP seeking a ceasefire in Gaza and the end of American weapons shipments to Israel was not only appropriate but long overdue!

To know observe the NAACP in retreat and altering their press release which does not demand the end of American weapon shipments but essentially encourages more weapon shipments is outrageous and offends every principle that Black Americans our historical icons have stood for in America

DEI vs State Rights

 Only in America is there celebrations over the end of programs that seek to promote, improve and affirm diversity, equity and inclusion in our country 

Once again the racist governance policy of ‘State Rights’ is now the law in Florida a state with a inhumane legacy towards minorities especially Black Americans that hung from the trees in Florida under the ‘color of law’ in Florida

The government of Florida is in violation of not only numerous federal civil rights regulations but also the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution 

The implementation of ‘State Rights’ that denies the constitutional protections of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness includes the the governance objectives of DEI ‘s programs, protocols and policies is a violation of our US Constitution 

I expect the US Constitution will reject the State of Florida’s unlawful termination of its DEI program, protocols and governance objectives 

America’s Finest Prosecutor

Alvin Bragg was brilliant He was pressured hard to bring the case two seconds after he took office. He said it wasn't ready. He was ridiculed when he finally did bring it for not explaining the precise underlying crime that took the fraudulent business stuff from misdemeanor to felony status to the press. He did that only in court.

He, his family, his staff, have all been ridiculed and suffered death threats for many months.Yet he brought and won an insanely well prepared methodical case.

And now, post verdict, he remains calm. He doesn't gloat. He thanks the jury, his staff, the court officers. And he says going forward regarding sentencing, he will do what he has done.....Speak only in court, respond to the defense and judge in court, not at a podium in front of the press.

Calm, skilled, exceptional, Bragg was an exceptional Black American here

Guilty of Betrayal

 Trump deserved his guilty verdict and so did all of his apologists and supporters. Observing so many Americans encourage and embrace a hypocrite who sought to make our nation become a cult republic was disturbing and unsettling.

Observing Israel’s apologists in our government and civil society engaging in antisemitism witch hunts in academia is disturbing and disturbing.

Hunting down professors in academia who engage in Academic Freedom is not only wrong but violates ethics and principles , inserting our law enforcement agencies to intimidate student protesters into silence and retreat is wrong 

This is not a pursuit that seeks to discover and purge antisemitism in academia instead this is coordinated campaign to silence criticism and dissent against the immoral war by Israel against Palestinians in Gaza and Americans who reject and object to Israel’s war of vengeance and revenge against Palestinian civilians in Gaza 

America can’t allow our government bureaucracy and our politicians to wage a coordinated campaign that has an objective to silence and oppress those who reject and object to a war in GAZA that is destroying a people who have done nothing wrong but live

Our international allies don’t get a license nor immunity to engage in inhumanity just because they are our allies.

Historical Cowards in Academia

 The universities and colleges who have erased the history of student protests in the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War will regret their decisions going forward to arrest and punish students for having the courage and integrity to challenge and condemn Israel’s slaughter of innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza with US military support 

   Rather than have the vision and leadership that creates resolutions it is truly disturbing observing the leadership of these universities retreat from Academic Freedom to now full suppression of Academic Freedom 

    Insertion of law enforcement into student protests is a retreat to an America that discounted Black Americans, Women and Minorities and Special Needs people who protested their right to secure full sovereignty as American citizens. 

   There will be consequences for this betrayal of students who integrity and value for humanity has been confronted with arrests and threats of suspension and expulsion by school administrators 

  This is not Russia or Israel … This is the United States of America

Evil Governments

 There are on our planet incredibly evil governments with leaders and operatives that don’t value humanity. Some of these governments exist in every hemisphere on earth and for many of its citizens there is no safe harbor or spaces which protect them from their own governments 

 Many governments operate outside its sovereign borders and wage campaigns of violence and inhumane acts that seek an erasure of communities and collectives without any principles nor regard for the violence they perform on people including babies, children, women and a host of other innocent people. 

 These evil governments wage sophisticated campaigns and messaging that is grounded in falsehoods , misinformation, fiction and outright propaganda . There is boundaries nor red lines that calibrate their evil and contempt for humanity.

 These evil governments share their evil with partnerships with other nations that legitimize and contribute to these governments by supplying military weapons and arms as well as political support and cover in the UN and international tribunals that seek to make crimes against humanity unlawful and illegal and punished with appropriate universal sanctions 

Evil that are designed and structured in this manner can be defeated but it requires rejection, objection and global protest and political pressure from countries that value humanity 

False Flags

Our college venues are more hostile to women and minorities than any religious group . The notion that our colleges are riddled with antisemitism is  disinformation and propaganda driven by lobbyists for Israel and those who seek to silence constructive criticism of Israel’s inhumane war against Palestinians in GAZA

Political protests have always existed especially in America and on our college venues ,the efforts to silence Academic Freedom and criticism of Israel ‘s inhumane war against Palestinians in GAZA that has killed over 35,000+ Palestinians the majority of whom are children and women deserves to be challenged and rejected wherever it surfaces in America 

These protests against the war in GAZA by Israel with US support must continue anywhere and everywhere in America .

To remain silence in the presence of such human deprivation is Un-American.

Antisemitism is not an explanation 4 everything

White Americans during our racial divide in America have often declared that racism is not an explanation for everything and this is not only true but this sentiment is also true with regards to Antisemitism in America 

Antisemitism is not the explanation to everything from the inhumane war in Gaza against Palestinians to the suppression of criticism of Israel nor justification of the assault on Academic Freedom in our colleges and universities and war places in both the public and private sectors of America 

Humanity is not a political entity nor a commodity to be negotiated and treated as something to trade for, Humanity is a natural right that is the sovereignty of every human being in the world 

The presence of Antisemitism does not negate the existence of Humanity nor does it make it more important than Humanity especially in a War

DEI Part 2

Of late in America there is a campaign to get rid of DEI in all of its iterations in our educational institutions and in the marketplace both the public and private sectors.

Ignore this siren call, In fact one should challenge and construct a detailed series of facts and documents that establish the utility of DEI while also addressing in detail the arguments against DEI.

Rather than summarily dismiss those who articulate the sometimes hateful rhetoric that DEI is not necessary and in some twisted narrative is anti White and UnAmerican and  not needed in a post racial America. One constructive approach would be to enlist those who oppose DEI in articulating what they believe is conducive for a united DEI reality and implementation in our nation, this strategy can mitigate friction with colaboration.

One of the hidden obstacles to DEI is often the inability of its proponents to articulate  the merits DEI without being so defensive.

Those who occupy the C suites in America know that diversity and inclusion are productive is a profitable utility but that alone is not sufficient. The reality is coordination of political cheerleading is necessary in the still fading Trump Era of America.

In this strategy there opportunities for internet  dialogues, meet and greet DEI centered topics and collective intercultural, interracial and class and religious exchanges that highlight DEI.

The end objective is the continuation of the evolution of America  with the realization there simply cannot be America without DEI.

The War against Academic Freedom

The critics of Academic Freedom forced the resignation of its historic Black Woman President simply because she declared genocide was wrong for all people instead of expressly stated Jewish people!!!

MAGA platforms in America contributed to the false and destructive narrative that antisemitism was everywhere in America and that Black Americans were inherently antisemitic despite millions of Black Americans around the world R Jewish!!

Presently in our Congress the House Education Committee is conducting a national witch hunt to label and discredit students, professors , organizations who are critical of Israel’s inhumane war in Gaza against Palestinians.

This hunt for people who value open dialogue and constructive criticism of Israel is both UnAmerican and shameful. It is a direct assault on the principles of Academic Freedom and it seeks to silence rigorous debates on the ethics of War against people who simply want to live but are viewed as the enemy of the nation of Israel because they are Palestinians 

The campaign to conflate Palestinians as Hamas is just as wrong as the campaign to conflate criticism of Israel as antisemitism and end Academic Freedom in our Colleges and Universities in America

Many of my Jewish friends and family are ashamed of the politics of the lobbyists 4 Israel from their attacks on Black Elected Officials who condemn the inhumane war in Gaza by Israel to the curated and vile campaign that conflates Black Americans as Anti- Semitic 

It is extremely disturbing on so many levels and layers of the relations between Black Americans and Jewish Americans in our country 

Black Americans created the Civil Rights Movement in America where Jewish-Americans and others have benefited from … Black Americans have contributed to the wealth of many Jewish Americans in a variety of enterprises and relationships in America which has not come close to being reciprocal 

To observe MAGA/ Conservatives influence over prominent Jewish Americans is quite disturbing 

Thankfully the most powerful Jewish American in our Congress finally stepped up and condemned the war monger leader of Israel while also advocating for elections is Israel was truly transformative and long overdue

Big Ben Racial Clock

Our country has experienced centuries of racism in very iteration, form, shape and structure and reality. In our country there has been various reactions to the racism including individual objections to public organizations engaging in activities and policies which seek to end racism in our society 

One recent approach has been in the corporate and public sector in the work place, where company and other institutions in our country have created formal policies, procedures, protocols to end racism in their operations and staffing practices programs and related activities and services

DEI stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's the umbrella term for the programs, policies, strategies, and practices that implement a company's mission to create and sustain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that respects and accommodates every employee's: Ethnicity.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, is the objective and platforms and processes and programs are now under attack by Americans who reject DEI and other initiatives that enhance and encourage DEI 

DEI is a logical and natural extension of the CR Movement in America, it takes centuries of change to overcome centuries of White Supremacy and Racial Regressive policies, politics and behaviors etc etc etc 

My favorite metaphor is the Big Ben one I created years ago in my lectures on the racial underdevelopment of White America 

‘It is now 23 hours and 45 minutes in the racial underdevelopment in America under the stewardship of White America , Black America and Minorities have 15 minutes to engage in racial transformative change before a new day begins in the racial narrative of America 

From the Civil Rights Era to now the DEI Era of America the nation ‘s racial clock is ticking
