Voter's Smarts not Apathy...

According to the sage wisdom of conventional political pundits low voter turn in the city of Detroit reflects not only apathy but evidence of despair and decay. However these same politico talking heads have been wrong so many times in their appraisal of city voters that the voices of political pundits are ridiculed and righteously ignored.

The fact is city voters are very intelligent and astute they understand lousy candidates and shallow options are the significant factors which reflect voter turn out not the idle chatter of pudits and talking heads. Superior voter turn out which yields impotent public officials does not serve voters or any community nor democracy at the end of the day.

The right to withhold one's vote is as democratic and productive as the casting of a vote . What drives a productive democracy is not the volume of the votes but the quality of the winner......

wow that last line really hits the jackpot. I blelieve the same thing. how could we change it? factor in IQ scores in the people that are allowed to vote? or possibly a test that maybe finds out the voters intentions and the reason he or she is voting?
