Our country has experienced centuries of racism in very iteration, form, shape and structure and reality. In our country there has been various reactions to the racism including individual objections to public organizations engaging in activities and policies which seek to end racism in our society
One recent approach has been in the corporate and public sector in the work place, where company and other institutions in our country have created formal policies, procedures, protocols to end racism in their operations and staffing practices programs and related activities and services
DEI stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's the umbrella term for the programs, policies, strategies, and practices that implement a company's mission to create and sustain a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that respects and accommodates every employee's: Ethnicity.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, is the objective and platforms and processes and programs are now under attack by Americans who reject DEI and other initiatives that enhance and encourage DEI
DEI is a logical and natural extension of the CR Movement in America, it takes centuries of change to overcome centuries of White Supremacy and Racial Regressive policies, politics and behaviors etc etc etc
My favorite metaphor is the Big Ben one I created years ago in my lectures on the racial underdevelopment of White America
‘It is now 23 hours and 45 minutes in the racial underdevelopment in America under the stewardship of White America , Black America and Minorities have 15 minutes to engage in racial transformative change before a new day begins in the racial narrative of America
From the Civil Rights Era to now the DEI Era of America the nation ‘s racial clock is ticking
