There is this racist narrative of late which seeks to cast Black Men as lethal threats to Black Women, this racism is yet another pathological aspect of those who believe Black Men are inherently dangerous and criminals
It is critical that We reject, object and condemn this latest wave of intentional demonization of Black Men in America with facts that refute this dangerous messaging
Facts: There are 21 million Black Women in America of which 22% are under 18 years of age according to the latest FBI Crime Index tragically 241 Black Women have died from Gun Violence this year
Any death of a Black Women by gun violence is horrific and unacceptable but there is no epidemic of Black Women violence anywhere in America nor a crisis
We have to confront and defeat efforts to conflate the false narrative and fake news about violence in Black America towards Black Women by Black Men
The fact remains crime is down everywhere in America including in Black American venues and it continues to fall
